About Caci Medispa

CACI is the original non-surgical facelift. A Californian Doctor, Thomas Wing, developed the Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument or CACI (pronounced Casey) in the late 1980s to re-educate the facial muscles of stroke victims and those with Bell's Palsy.
The CACI system use a micro current applied to the skin through two cotton tipped wands to activate the electric synapses in the muscles; stimulating and re-educating the fibres and restoring the muscles. CACI , like Botox and lasers, is yet another example of a procedure which began as a medical treatment, but which has now been adapted for use in the cosmetic market place.
This treatment has been available in the beauty industry for cosmetic purposes since the early 1990s. CACI soon gained huge popularity in medical clinics in the United Kingdom and America; and was introduced to New Zealand in 1994. The rest is, as they say, history.
David and Jackie Smith started their first clinic in Newmarket, Auckland in 1994 with a few machines and staff trained by an overseas therapist. The beauty industry had never seen anything like this before. The clinic went from strength to strength with a loyal client base and increasing interest. The second clinic opened in 1995. Today there are 24 franchised CACI Clinics in New Zealand with scope for additional outlets to be added. These clinics offer a wide range of skin treatments and cosmetic services, including: • The CACI Non-Surgical facelift • Microdermabrasion • Laser hair removal • Photorejuvenation • Advanced skin consultation, high performance products and treatments • Specialised Acne treatments • Glycolic and TCA facial peeling • Traditional Beauty Therapy treatments • Dermal Roller Collagen Induction Therapy • Acnelux • Revivalux • Laser Tattoo Removal • Removal of Brown or liver spots •
Early in 2007 CACI clinic changed its name to Caci Medispa. This was in keeping with a world wide trend to differentiate the businesses that positioned themselveds inbetween cosmetic surgery and beauty therapy. A position we had occupied since our inception 14 years ago.
